Der Grund für den Umbau war der hohe Pflegeaufwand – die mit Lava besetzte Regenerationszone war ein Nährboden für Algen. Auch hatte sich der ästhetische Anspruch des Kunden gewandelt und er wollte einen Design-Naturpool, der mit aller „State-of-the-Art“-Technologie ausgestattet ist. Also durften Solar-Rollladen, Gegenstromanlage und Beheizung nicht fehlen.
